Sorry for not posting yesterday, was so busy (and tired to be honest). Went out with a friend during the day and walked home instead of using any form of transport, so was tired enough to forget to post (but not tired enough to take a picture :D). Only means you'll get two posts today! Anyway, this picture is of the dessert I had at Harvester. For those of you that didn't see this on my Flickr, I'll break it down for you.
A wafer with a cherry on top, then a thick layer of whipped cream, with vanilla ice cream underneath melting because it's on top of just made hot chocolate brownies with with chocolate pieces and chocolate syrup.
If that doesn't get you drooling, I don't know what will! My calories for that one sitting (had a meal as well, not just this) was 1,300 calories for just that meal! The meal was (roughly) 300 for the chicken, 500-600 for the fries, and I don't want to remember how much this was! By the way, if you want a restaurant that has calories on the menu then this is a good one. I was having an attack about the calories but I walked home afterwards which is faaar for me, at least a 50minute walk depending on the pace. I've still lost tons of weight though, so I'm not wallowing in shame, which is what I used to do.
The calories really make you think about the food restaurants give you. You think they have your best interests but regardless of whether they put it on the menu or not, restaurant food is still calorific. Even ones that are low calorie, all it means is that the calories are lower than 500 but more than 300. Well, that's what it says to me anyway. I mean, a handful of peanuts (assuming roasted and salted) comes up to a ridiculous amount of calories, even without the oil or salt, but it has a lot of protein and vitamins.
I only did really simple edits for this. I decided that I'm going to only put up edits if I've extensively changed the picture, otherwise it's going to be difficult to post everyday due to time restraints :(
The next post will come later today!
